Time to Buy Real Estate in Cohocton

If we listen to the experts, it's the best time to buy real estate in Cohocton, NY. Have some cash saved away? Turn that into a great investment in Cohocton: Real estate. Get in before the turbines are installed. Once the pretty towers and lights go up, property values are going as high as those turbines! With every pleasant "woosh woosh", you can hear the sound of your investment --- That's the sound of money in your pocket as a property owner! But don't take our word for it, here's what the experts are saying:

"Wind farms do not adversely impact surrounding property values. Furthermore, in most locations, property values in the viewshed of a windfarm increase faster than in comparable areas." --- YESWINDCOHOCTON, answer/Wind Forum question

"the homes in the community surrounding the wind farm did not show evidence of a decline in property values" --- Marion Trieste, Trieste Associates (ACENY)

“wind farms do not have a negative affect on housing values and that sometimes there is a positive impact on housing values” --- UPC Wind Management, LLC

“...property values are not impacted.” - ACENY press release, Larisa Washburn Environmental Advocates of New York

Remember: "Turbines UP means property values UP!"

one thing iteresting I found that is nice about wind it that it do9esn't require imported fossil fuels once constructed, a wind facility requires no fossil fuel. This reduces dependence on imported gas and oil, which comes from unstable areas of the world. In times of rising and volatile fuel prices, domestic power production can hedge price fluctulations, increasing energy diversity and security.

It just amazes me on how some people can be so pety and force a town board out of office over something that will benefit the town in the long run. If people don't like a member on the town in which they live in they should reelect someone when the time comes. But People from surrounding should not get involved in the issue. How much longer is this pety stuff going to continue? People should stand behind their board especially when they have answered every question. Making idle threats is just childish

We agree people from surrounding areas should not get involved in the issue - like the UPC paid attorney and UPC itself.

Mr. Buss you've never explained how wind reduces dependence on imported gas and oil. In fact, the MIT publication, Technology Today, explains how attacking transportation methods is key to solving this problem - they didn't once mention windmills as a solution.

It is in the new york comptrollers report which can be pulled of the web it goes into great depth. And I also believe that citizens from surrounding should not be brought into the matters and business that is involved in the town of cohocton I know there might be wind farms in other towns but we should stay out of their business for it doesn't efftect us on the same hand

George,

Maybe you haven't heard but the whole region, many nearby towns are being proposed for industrial wind. People are concerned for the region. We are part of the region aren't we? People are involved at the national, state, regional and local levels, pro and con. What's your take on the AWEA? Or how about ACENY, or Trieste Associates coming to Cohocton to speak? They obviously had a voice --- a microphone provided by YESWINDCOHOCTON in fact.

I will be glad ti give my opinion on the meeting support by yes wind it was an informational meeting and the speakers give out information. Has did the cohocton wind watch group did also. But at one meeting you have people from surround towns along which should not be involved in the making of idol threats towards a town and it's board members. When the proper to handle the sitution is to not vote for them whem it is time. And then you have a very small group who want to threaten their neighbors of a silly lawsuit for some they want to do with their land. If a person wants to do something with their they should be allowed to has long has it doesn't borther anyone. According to the zoning one could build an air field on their property also. Wonder how people would try to sue someone for trying to do this. They would probably have people come in from rochester which 60 miles away to threaten about how bad airport and air fields uh
